Funny,
Isn't It?
·
Funny how much criticism Mel Gibson's movie, "The
Passion of the Christ" has received from the media for being
"excessively gory and bloody," yet this same media had little or
nothing to say about such movies as "Schindler's List," "Saving
Private Ryan," "Friday the 13th," and "Texas Chainsaw
Massacre."
·
Funny how the media has heavily criticized, and
censored "The Passion of Christ" for stirring anti-Semitic
feelings, yet this same media never criticized films such as "Tora,
Tora, Tora," "Custer's Last Stand," or "The Diary of Anne
Frank" for stirring hatred of Japanese, American Indians, and Germans.
·
Funny how the Mayor of San Francisco can illegally issue
marriage licenses to homosexual couples without being arrested for breaking the
law, but if that same Mayor would have illegally issues Concealed Weapons
Licenses, would he not have been arrested?
·
Funny how Congress can pass laws that allow a mother to
murder her own unborn baby, while Congress is presently considering passing
Unborn Victims of Violence Act that will punish a person who would be
responsible for taking the life of an unborn baby.
·
Funny how some people cry long and loud that
"Government has no right to legislate morality," yet these same
people expect the Government to legislate against stealing, rape, and murder.
·
Funny how Christians are "fed up" and disgusted
with the moral climate of our society, yet they remain silent and take no
action to change things.
Funny, isn't it? Well, on
second thought, maybe not.
Sincerely,
Steve Higginbotham
