Last Week’s Bible Question

Q: Who said: “A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.”  A: John the Baptist (John 3:27)

This Week’s Bible Question

Who said: “Lord, trouble not thyself; for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof.”

If you are busy being good,

And doing just the best you could,

You’d not have time to blame the man

Who’s doing just the best he can.

WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?

Luke Shira

Same sex marriages are here! “Pandora's Box has been opened." A polygamist with five wives and twenty-nine grandchildren has stated he has as much right to his family as the same-sex marriages. The argument being, what two consenting adults do behind closed doors is no one's business. A man was on one of the talk shows and said he loved his horse and wanted to marry the animal. His argument was the same as the other two.

My, my! Where will it all end? Anyone with an ounce of sense can see that everything mentioned has to do with behavior. People are not homosexuals because they were born that way, but because of their desire. God did not create people and then condemn them because they are that way. Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities about them are mentioned specifically as "giving themselves over to fornication and going after strange flesh” (Jude 7).

The spirit of Sodom is about us everywhere - on TV, in the movies, in books and magazines, and in the newspapers that tell of an ungodly judge who declares same-sex marriages legal and acceptable.

Listen to the law of God to Israel, "There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel" (Deuteronomy 23:17). Read Romans 1:26-27, "For this reason God gave them up to vile passions, for even their women exchanged their natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men leaving the natural use of the woman burned in their lust one for another, men with men committing what is shameful and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due." There will be no room in Heaven for a practicing homosexual. Am I being cruel? No, just quoting God.

It was made clear from the beginning that God intended for a man to have a woman for his mate. God "made" a woman for man from man's own side and presented her to man (Adam). Not man for man, or woman for woman. Many will lose their soul because they are thinking of the pleasures of today, not the consequences of eternity. When are God-fearing folks going to rise up against this detriment to our society and our country!! On the grounds used by the homosexuals, many groups can demand, and expect to receive, the same rights, However, they are wrong!
