Thoughts
worthy of paying attention to…
 |
Evidently
the devil has always won people with the idea: “You can give
yourself to the Lord tomorrow…but give me today.”
|
 |
We cannot have
any blessing from God except in God's way of giving it. |
 |
The
woman who came up behind Jesus had sufficient faith to be healed,
according to Jesus, but she wasn't healed until she put forth the
necessary effort to touch His garment. She said, “If I can just
touch His garment.” Her faith caused her to go to Jesus, and
to reach for Him. How’s your faith? |
 |
In the New
Testament, everyone who was pardoned and forgiven from their
sin was considered to be justified, sanctified, reconciled,
redeemed, adopted, and saved. |
 |
Time that is past
never returns! Sin committed can never be undone! Your future is in
front of you, not in the past. You can't redo a mistake once it is
made. You can learn from it but you can't go back in the past and do
something different. Paul wrote, “This one thing I do,
forgetting the past and reaching forth to those things which are
future. I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of
God in Christ Jesus.” So, secure forgiveness for the mess you
have made in times past and strive to do better in the future. |
 |
If a word is used
in the Bible to express or explain or define a subject or doctrine,
the word used to express that subject is better than any other word
a person may use. If a person's doctrine or teaching is not from
Bible words it becomes very difficult to prove it is from the Bible. |
 |
Ignorance
corrects nothing! Did you catch that? Do I need to say it again?
Ignorance corrects nothing! |
 |
In matters of
religion, nothing has good authority that does not bear the date
from the days of the New Testament. |
 |
The vital moving
force in people is enthusiasm. The great leaders and
achievers are those people who have enthusiasm in what they are
doing. Enthusiasm inspires others as well as one's self. Are you
enthused about Christ? Enthused about His church? Enthused about
salvation? Enthused about forgiveness?
