HONOR YOUR WIFE

A couple had been debating the purchase of a new automobile for weeks.  He wanted a new truck.  She wanted a fast little sports-like car so she could zip through traffic around town.  He would probably have settled on any beat-up old truck, but everything she seemed to like was way out of their price range.

"Look!" she said. "I want something that goes from 0 to 200 in 4 seconds or less.  And my birthday is coming up. You could surprise me."

So, for her birthday, he bought her a brand new bathroom scale.

Services are pending.

Let's be honest.  Those of us who are husbands don't always do a good job of honoring our wives.  Husbands, let me challenge you to make a conscious effort to hold your wife in high regard.  Make sure you make her feel that she is the most important person on the face of this earth.  Make sure you make her feel that she is the most beautiful woman on the face of this earth.  Avoid anything that would embarrass her or humiliate her, especially in public.  Love her with all your heart, sacrifice willingly for her, and honor her to the utmost.  Your relationship with God depends on it!

Take heed to these words from the apostle Peter:  "Husbands, in a similar way, live with your wives with understanding since they are weaker than you are.  Honor your wives as those who share God's life-giving kindness so that nothing will interfere with your prayers." (I Peter 3:7, GOD'S WORD)

Have a great day!

Alan Smith
