Where In The Bible Will I
Find:
One Church Being As Good As
Another?
This
is often a very common expression among the man made, or denominational
churches, and, of course, it is believed by them that one church is just as
good as another. When this expression is used in reference to only
denominational churches it is correct to say that "One of these churches
is as good as another," but when the church of our Lord, the church He
bled and died for, is included and compared with denominations of human named and
human built churches, then no, emphatically NO!
There
is no denominational church that can ever stand the test of the Lord's church.
All denominations have been built by human wisdom, and everything that is
peculiar to any denomination is essentially human. The church of our Lord as
given in the New Testament is purely divine in every way. Every item, both in
introducing men into it and in carrying on its practical work is given to us by
inspiration. Nothing is left for man's wisdom. God has given us all the rules,
or laws that govern His kingdom or church. The church belongs to Christ. He
gave His life for it (Acts 20:28), and as He is the architect and builder of
His church (Matt. 16:18) it is known by His name (Rom. 16:16).
The
name of every denominational church in the world is human. God never named any
of them nor did He ever give man a single one of their peculiarities. To say
that any one of these human denominations is as good as the church of our Lord
is to elevate human wisdom to an equality with the wisdom of God. There is not
one denomination to be found that is built upon one foundation which the Lord
has laid in Zion.
Paul
said, "For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is
Jesus Christ" (I Cor. 3:11). By Scripture, we can determine what the
ONE foundation is. It is the sublime truth that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of
the living God (Matt. 16:16). There is no denomination that builds upon this
truth. Every creed, discipline, or confession of faith is built upon human wisdom,
and thus they all contradict the Word of God, rejecting the one foundation the
Lord has laid, and has been erected on their own human wisdom.
Not
only do they reject the one and only foundation, but they reject Christ's
gospel plan of initiation into the kingdom that God has ordained and
established, preferring their own division and their own arrangements such as
"faith only, grace only, etc." Many members in these denominational
churches are not aware of the extent to which the creeds they adhere, have
rejected, changed, and added to the Word of God, and many, I'm sure if they
knew these things, they would submit no longer.
