The Kingdom Of Israel Is To Be Restored?

Where In The Bible Will I Find:

The Kingdom Of Israel Is To Be Restored?

During the earthly ministry of Jesus, the Jews, and even His apostles had the wrong concept of the kingdom of God. They were expecting the Messiah, but they wanted Him to restore the kingdom of David, be an earthly king and drive the Romans from Judea.

Jesus explained to them that His kingdom was not of the world. The Jews were the chosen people of God at that time and Jesus came to save them, but they rejected both Him and His teachings. Jesus told the Jews, "Therefore I say unto you, the kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth fruit thereof'” (Matt. 21:43). Paul stressed that the blindness of the Jews opened the way for salvation to the Gentiles by faith in Jesus Christ.

Peter points out that God "put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith" (Acts 15:9). So God saves everyone, Jews and Gentiles in the same way and in the same manner, by obedient faith in Jesus Christ (Gal. 3:26-29). There is no other way for Jew or Gentile to be saved, for there is only one gospel, which is the power of God unto salvation (Rom. 1:16). "There is neither Jew nor Greek, bond nor free, male nor female, for all are one in Christ" (Gal. 3:28).

The Jews are no longer the chosen people of God. God is no respecter of person, everyone who believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and is obedient to the gospel is God's chosen people. Christ calls us to leave the world, the vanity of materialism, and the false hope of glory in a carnal kingdom.

God's promise to the Jews has been fulfilled (Josh. 21:42-45). The Jewish nation perished at the destruction of Jerusalem in A.D. 70. The kingdom of Israel cannot be, nor will it ever be restored. Christ set up His kingdom, (the church) in A.D. 33. We must look to Him for blessings; not to the fantasy of a restored kingdom of Israel.
